It is announced the co-organization and conduct of the 2nd Scientific, Cultural, Developmental and Gastronomical Forum of Greek and Egyptian Friendship for first time in Egypt starting at the 15th November 2019 until the 23th November 2019, an unselfish action of great cultural and cultural significance, initiated by the Educational and Cultural Centre “ GADALA” in cooperation with the HELLENIC SCIENTIFIC ASSOCIATION “PTOLEMY I” presenting basic elements of history, culture, gastronomy and the traditions of each country, aiming to contribute in the development of the Hellenic and Egyptian Friendship, strengthening the relations of the two nations, by supporting the dialogue of the two cultures and their cooperation. 

The entirety of the event is based on the selfless cooperation and voluntary participation of carriers and over 250 individuals from Greece and Egypt, while under the auspices of government and public carriers of Greece and Egypt!

The Forum has a strong social face, with active participation of vulnerable groups and is a sample of the main component of pole and social responsibility. This selfless act of significant impact will from now on, as it decrystallizes, gain Educational, Cultural, Social, Developmental and Tourist purpose.

 

Important persons hailing from the local government, Science, Culture, Education, Gastronomy, Literature and Arts, Greeks, Egyptians and foreign speakers, joined forces with a guide to Hellenic and Egyptian Culture with Suggestions, Folk Music-Dance and Gastronomy! The central event will taking part at 17th of November 2019 in the Library of Alexandria

RECOGNIZABILITY

 

The 1st Forum took place in Kavala (May 2018), the 2nd Forum is taking place in Alexandria Egypt (November 2019) and the 3rd Forum, following the wish of the co-organizers, will be implemented in Northern Greece (May 2020).

We have created an innovative scientific and cultural experience, expressing the desire to become an institution. The Forum will be an event with recognizability it’s purpose being to set a new cultural trend.

This event is the most effective vehicle for achieving communication, development goals and social well-being.

“AGAINST CANCER” : GADALA’s Folklore Egyptian Dance Troupe, is an informal - nonprofit - group from Greece with currently more than 650 - active - volunteers’ members,  consist of dancers, students and graduates of the S.C.T.M.E.D. GADALA. 100 and more are volunteer dancers come from vulnerable or special groups of people such as women with cancer.

The President of the “Club of UNESCO of Piraeus and Islands” and Member of the Board of Directors of the The World Federation of UNESCO Clubs (WFUCA) for Europe and Northern America Μr. Ioannis Maronitis pointed out in his statement: “The cultural heritage of Middle East has been a part of the World’s Heritage since ancient times. The Hellenic and Egyptian Cultures are two of the oldest ones with similar routes. It is especially important to preserve every countries’ Cultural wealth and this initiative will spread the message for communication between the Cultures of the two nations”

Macedonia's city of Kavala, as it has its own historic past with Egypt, became the “starting point” of the 1st Scientific and Cultural Forum of Greek - Egyptian Friendship that took place for the first time in Greece! The central event was held with great success on Sunday, May the 13th of 2018, at the amphitheatre of the Eastern Macedonian and Thrace Institute of Technology in the city of Kavala. The forum was covered by media, online newspapers, radio and television very positively, as well as exalting its’ purpose to become an institution! 140 volunteers and public-spirited participants took part in the event and offered their cooperation for the prosecution of the forum! The amount of visitors, during the forum, reached a total of 1150 people!

The 2nd Scientific, Cultural, Developmental and Gastronomic Forum of Greek-Egyptian Friendship take place in Egypt and bear the auspices of Hellenic Republic MINISTRY OF FOREING AFFAIRS, MINISTRY OF TOURISM  and MINISTRY OF DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENS. The MAIN EVENT* at the 17th November of 2019 is being held in the conference center of BIBLIOTHECA ALEXANDRINA thanks to its kind hospitality, which will be hosting this selfless act.

On the occasion of the official proclamation of the year 2018 as the "Year of Hellenic Egyptian Friendship" and after the big success of the program “NOSTOS” by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the aim of the above action is to contribute to the development of Greek-Egyptian Friendship, supporting the dialogue and cooperation of the two civilizations. 

The Greek-Egyptian Friendship Scientific, Cultural, Developmental and Gastronomic Forum for the second consecutive year gathers important personalities from the field of government, science, culture, gastronomy, letters and arts, Greek, Egyptian and foreign rapporteurs, their strengths, presenting basic elements of history and culture and the traditions of each country, through suggestions, dances and gastronomy, dedicated to the Greek and Egyptian culture.

The organization of the 2nd Scientific, Cultural, Developmental and Gastronomic Forum of Greek-Egyptian Friendship as well as the 1st Scientific and Cultural Forum of Greek-Egyptian Friendship are selfless acts of significant cultural impact initiated by the Educational and Cultural Centre “ GADALA” in cooperation with the HELLENIC SCIENTIFIC ASSOCIATION “PTOLEMY I” supported by the participation and cooperation of many carriers and individuals. supported by volunteers and the cooperation of many carriers and individuals.

Parallel actions* for the same purpose will take place throughout the days of stay and sightseeing in Nile Country, starting at the 15th November 2019 until the 23th November 2019. The action, apart from its purely scientific and cultural interest, will now acquire an Educational, Tourist, Cultural, Developmental and Gastronomic purpose!
